Welcome to Winston Knoll Collegiate!

The ASL/DC 10 will commence this fall (2018) at Winston Knoll Collegiate.  You will be following this course closely and using the videos as a guide for your homework assignments.

You will have a total of 12 assignments.

Signing practice videos (10 marks each)

You are required to make one video from each unit. This means that you have to make ten videos. Each video will be in American Sign Language and captioned in English text.

Descriptive video using ASL classifiers (50 marks each)

You are required to select a photograph or an art piece and describe in ASL what is in the image using ASL classifiers.  This is a very hard assignment so you will need to practice lots to get this right. Your video will be captioned in English text.

Storytelling video (50 marks each)

You are required to retell a deaf cultural story.  Details about the story will be provided later.  Your video will be captioned in English text

Final Evaluation (30 marks each)

You will be interviewed by me and or a Deaf person who is a native signer in the Deaf community.

Enjoy!
